In Lanarkshire, Connect in Care is working with two separate groups on two different projects:
1. Creating a Participation Strategy
Lanarkshire Y1 Project
We have worked with managers from 8 care homes to develop a Participation Strategy (to support the new inspection arrangements from the Care Commission). This Participation Strategy is now online in the Improving Care for Older People shared space on the e-library.

2. "Who Cares" DVD and facilitators' pack
Lanarkshire Y1 Project
A team of 'link nurses' from the Older Adult's Directorate within NHS Lanarkshire have developed with us a DVD and accompanying facilitators' pack which they can use with their colleagues/teams to support the dignity of older people using the service. We are currently finalising the pack and planning a pilot implementation in NHS Lanarkshire. We intend to develop an equivalent care home resource.
